Ah. It doesn't end even if you get the GC! I agree with the others - go for the interview fully prepared with all the documents including your GC. Even though you have the feeling "what if they revoke it?", it is best to comply with the laws and respect the interview notice.
You can call them up or infopass if you have some time before the interview.

Big goof up on AP document, my spouses document had my alien number. Thankfully, they recognized it as a USCIS mistake and let her in. She had to wait 3 hours for processing, they also took both AP forms and set up and appointment at USCIS office in SF.
I have to go to SF tomorrow. Couple of qns that some one may be able to answer
1) What should i expect tomorrow?
2) When im there can i ask them any question regarding the status of my case?
On a separate note, i heard from a friend that AP is getting approved in 15 days now. Is that a one off case?

I have been offerred a FTE position by the client. Roles and responsibilities similar to that filed in labor. I am currently on H1 with my consulting company but considering to deply my EAD. however, my EAD has expired. I have applied for renewal a month ago but it may take another 2 months.
anything I should be concerned about before switching to EAD with given status. Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

I like to change my employer with my pending labor with my current employer. Last year my current employer did 1 yr extension based on pending labor. Still my current employer didn't receive 45 days Notice. But I don't have any info. about my labor. I know only priority date and USPS mail confirmation (when it reached labor dept). I sent 2 mail to H1B7YR@PHI.DFLC.US to get screen shot. But i didn't get any response.
Can you pls help is there any other source to get Labor info.? Since without this labor info. my new employer can't transfer my H1B.

Does anyone know what the following status means for I-140:

If I were you, I would just do a little search in the forum and close this thread. There was an extensive discussion on this very topic for days and the thread had to be eventually closed because it was taking ugly turns. Let's not go that route again. I am in the same situation.. send docs to Dallas lockbox.
Applied for EAD renewal and documents reached on May7th.. checks not cased yet. I think the whole lockbox is creating the delays but one they get to your application it is relatively quick.
Do let me know when your checks are cased.

In the application filed, I received a query stating "Labor Condition Application is marked to indicate you are an exempt HIB dependent for the beneficiary based on the existence of masters degree from the United States. Please confirm your claim that you are an expemt for this beneficiary. If no United States masters degree exists for this beneficiary, the LCA is not valid and may require a withdrawal of the current petition and filing of a new petition with a new LCA that adhers to Labor Department's requirement for H1B dependents".

concurrent filing means filing of I-140 and I-485 together not two I-140s.

Hi Guys
I was working with a company on H1b and i left to india for a vacation on aug 13 . got stuck in india due to some personal reasons.
I got paid till aug 30 as i had leave sanctioned till aug 30.
came back to US on dec 30.
Didnt get paid for the month of sept oct nov dec.
But i was never out of status as I was in india.
now can i apply for a h1b trasnfer as i m getting a job with a very good company with good salary.
i have paystubs till aug 30 2009. never out of status .

Reciept notice should be recieved as soon as USCIS recieves the application. It shouldn't take much time though I kind of feel it should not take more than couple of days from USCIS part to send the reciept and then 4-5 days for postal reciept. I guess in about weekdays time after reciept at USCIS, you should recieve the notice.
This is just my understanding. Also some one said, you can start working for the new company as soon as your application is delivered to the USCIS. Get this confirmed by some one.
