I just submit my directory sign assignment... YEAH~
Let's talk anout my design =P
Well, I only been there for two times. This make me want to know more about The Curve and I choose to redesign their directory sign. This is because I think that they should have a better design instead of the original one.
Let's check out the mall ~

Base on my research, The Curve is the first pedestrianised shopping mall which means that they are the first shopping mall that also have outdoor market, The Street. This is the unit selling point of The Curve! But when I look at their main entrance directory sign:
Its not really link to their usp right? The colour did not match with their interior design. The shape was boring. The only thing that Im okay about is their layout design. They use different colour to seperate direction from other. The typography there is neat and tidy, easy to understand.
So, I gather all element that can be found in The Curve to design my directory sign. There are plam tree in the center court, blue glowing light around the center court, bronze handle around the round shape of the center court, and wooden base for the booth in the shopping mall.
I would like to play with curvy shape instead of the rectangular one.Since the word 'The Curve', they should daring to play with curly shape but not boring rectangular shape. I do face some problem because The Curve dosen't stand out like Sunway Pyramid which have a strong egyptian element. Im quite despair after looking at hers =(
Here is my final design
The unique part of my directory design compare to the other is the grass at the bottom of the sign. Since The Curve more focus on The Stree, I decided to add some grass at the bottom of the sign because this shows mix and match between the outdoor and the indoor shopping part.
